what did the pandemic taught us?

I am a firm adherent of the quote, “everything happens for a reason”. Everything that occur universe has a plan for it. I believe that the dark times through the pandemic taught us something too. Although, many of us experienced demise of our loved ones and economy took a low leap. Focusing on the bright sides….

Our generation has become very materialistic. We have obsessed too much on discovering happiness in luxurious and expensive commodities. Ignoring our health. This crisis has proved everyone that health should be our top most priority. All of our dreams and ambition would be only possible if we are in good condition to achieve them.

If you have observed, there has been immense impact on the climate. We were in lockdown for months which resulted in low level of pollution. The ozone layer started to recover, sky became clearer, decrease in deforestation, decreased in the rate of global warming, peaceful habitat for wild animals. Numerous positive impacts were detected.

Most advancement are perceived in case of hygiene. The virus got everyone taking care of the hygiene of our surroundings. Many new gadgets are made to ensure everyone is safe and our surrounding is being germ-free.

The calamity coached many leaders to handle such crisis. It also made us realize that the individual ruling our nations is capable or not. It also brought up many heroes who helped people worldwide.

The COVID-19 caused scarcity of many supplies in most of the countries. This resulted in unity among countries forgetting all the rivalries. Many countries helped each other with the supplies of PPE kits, masks, HCQ, etc.

Taking a look at the numbers testing labs before the pandemic was less, this situation resulted in urge of testing labs and they are established. This will surely help to detect and avoid any virus which has pandemic potential.

There are numerous lessons that we learnt from the pandemic. I hope, we will put some efforts to improve our past mistakes. We should aim on bringing better future for our younger generation by executing things like replacing petrol and diesel vehicles by electrical ones, focusing on free health care as it is one of our basic necessities. Practicing work from home as long as possible. Most importantly, we should behave more like a human to each other and our mother earth. Work in unity and have compassion.
