Beauty standards are some standards or eligibility set by the society to consider an individual as “Beautiful”.   Gender roles is one of the norms which is observed world-wide irrespective of the culture, region or ethnicity. It is basically behavior learned by an individual gender to act in a certain way determined by the society. These norms have influenced in wide range of human behavior including the clothes we wear, the profession we pursue, the way we act or think and numerous other ways. According to  these norms, women are expected to be gentle, compassionate, accommodating and emotional. Women are supposed to be the careta ker of the family, l ook after the children and serve the house. Whereas, men are expected to be responsible, aggressive, competitive and physically imposing. Men are supposed to be the head of the family and fulfill financial needs. These entrenched roles often make feel one of the gender weaker and lower human development outcomes. I am a firm adherent of the quote, “everything happens for a reason”. Everything that occur universe has a plan for it. I believe that the dark times through the pandemic taught us something too. Although, many of us experienced demise of our loved ones and economy took a low leap. Focusing on the bright sides…. Our generation has become very materialistic. We have obsessed too much on discovering happiness in luxurious and expensive commodities. Ignoring our health. This crisis has proved everyone that health should be our top most priority. All of our dreams and ambition would be only possible if we are in good condition to achieve them. If you have observed, there has been immense impact on the climate. We were in lockdown for months which resulted in low level of pollution.
